THE FAMILY BEHIND BEDROCK FOUNDATION
Bedrock Family Foundation was formed from a calling placed on the heart of our founder, Elaine Ubakanma—a calling rooted in faith, compassion, and a deep desire to serve others.
After witnessing the devastation caused by a hurricane in her home country of Jamaica, Elaine felt compelled to respond in a way that would bring both immediate relief and lasting impact. What began as a calling to help families facing loss and instability grew into a vision for something sustainable—an organization dedicated to helping families rebuild on solid ground.
That vision became reality through the support and partnership of her daughter, Tecara Parks, whose dedication and shared heart for service helped bring Bedrock Family Foundation to life. Together, they laid the foundation for what would become a family-led foundation, built on unity, faith, and a commitment to helping others.
Elaine believes that true impact begins within the family and extends outward into the community. With her family by her side, she founded Bedrock Family Foundation to serve as a steady anchor for families in need—walking alongside them as they rebuild, restore, and move forward with hope.
At its core, Bedrock Family Foundation exists to build foundations of hope, stability, and restoration. Guided by faith and driven by service, the foundation is committed to uplifting families, strengthening communities, and creating lasting change—one family, one home, and one act of compassion at a time.
